I was thinking of going to Walmart in the morning, but I don’t know why...not enough to get Pink Drink for the ribs and potato salad, so there isn’t much point.
Check your email. And Pat says Hi. He wants me to get off the computer so he can program again.
Tell Pat I said, “Hello!” and with luck, I will see him this spring!
And I will do that very thing you suggested, while the skies are still semi-dark!
I have decided to invite a neighbor, but it will be AM before I know what he would like to drink with his meal.
In the meantime, I will get Pink Drink and diet soda! Thanks!
You should get yourself another computer. 'Face goes through them like potato chips.
And I mean a second computer. I have about a half-dozen, though some may be aging out.
I’ve been watching a tribute to QE II by Prince Charles in her Diamond Jubilee year.
It has been very interesting, and because of my heritage, I’m always looking for films/clips, etc., on the Royals.
I may end up in bed, soon, watching the rest of it in a supine position.
If you only knew, Bob...
And with that, I believe I will retire to the boudoir and watch the rest of the Royal Clips...
See all y’all tomorrow!
umm..
We had a President a while back that was an Arkansan Horntail.
There were reports of his being aggressive also...
There's a lot of animal betwixt the horn and the tail. That President was a horndog, not dragon.
One could have a horncow, or horngoat, or even "horned lizard", although those horns are more mere decoration.
The point is, the Hungarian Horntail is a Rowlingian creation, said to be the most dangerous of dragons.
The Arkansas Horndog is only dangerous to the female of the human species.
Take note, however, the female of the Arkansas Horndog is a venomous beast, and should not be trusted.
A short fantasy story, but George RR Martin wouldn’t like it because there aren’t any rapes.
Road to Torik

That looks amazingly like I feel this morning. Upside down might be a good thing.
Pretty good. You really move a plot along and have the reading wanting to know what happens next.
The part about the road reminded me of a fact in one of Kathleen’s animal books (snow leopards): Mongolia is as large as the state of Alaska but has only 700 miles of paved roads.
Good morning. I slept late but don’t feel that much better. My hands and feet are swelling: too much salt, I expect. We had fries last night, and I like them covered with salt.
If you used sea salt, (or pink Himalayan salt) you wouldn’t swell like that. It not only has a better flavor but it has chemicals and minerals that your body needs. </Lecture
The potato salad is made and is chilling, and the ribs are in the crock pot. They smell pretty good, even raw!
When it gets light out, I will hose off the patio furniture and floor and put a tablecloth on it (plastic) and be ready to eat out there. I want to be sure to hose underneath it, too, for the odd spider.
I need to go to Walmart, too. Then I’ll come back and geek.
Some of us are going out to “Matthews Alive” again today, but I’m not sure who. Several of us are not up yet; I’m sure you can guess which!
Back from Walmart. That was an expensive trip! I got two packs of diet drink, one of Ginger ale and one of Sierra Mist, and some Pink Drink.
I’m hoping the ginger ale will help to settle my stomach a bit. It woke me up at 0315 this morning, and I’ve been up ever since.
What is “Matthews Alive?”
Labor Day fair in the nearby suburb of Matthews, NC.
Ah. That ‘splains it.
82, 24% calm. It’s only supposed to get up to 95 today, and the weather prognosticator says this week will be the last of the 90’s. We’ll see...
Wow. Nobody home today. Everyone is out doing the BBQ thing, I guess.
I’m all set to eat, but I have to wait for my company. And what I really want to do is sleep.
The ribs are done and falling off the bones, the potato salad is chilling, and I realized when I tasted it that I forgot the salt. *sigh* And the beans are not really what I wanted, but they will do.
And cheesecake for dessert.
I hope he eats a lot of everything so I don’t have any leftovers!!
