Okay. I can see that. Maybe I live under a rock, but I don’t think I’ve heard anyone use it quite that way. I’ve heard plenty of people describe a complete reversal as “a 180” and I believe Sheila Jackson Lee described a complete reversal as “a 360” [facepalm]. But adding the polar into the mix seems slightly unnecessary.

You’re right.

Normally the choice of phrases is:

Polar opposites
or
180 degrees out of phase.
