Boy, that suggestion made me think of something I hadn’t thought of in years. When I went thru Airborne School, we had to recite Robert E. Lee’s farewell speech to the Army of Northern VA while we did pushups. Times have changed.
“After four years of arduous service marked by unsurpassed courage and fortitude, the Army of Northern Virginia has been compelled to yield to overwhelming numbers and resources...” Can’t remember the rest, but I sure knew it at the time. Didn’t want to go to the gig pit.
