Sunday on NBCs the Today, Meet the Press host Chuck Todd claimed Donald Trump was looking into how he could get on the ballot in 50 states as an independent candidate and went on to say that if he runs as a third party [candidate] it likely makes Hillary Clinton president.
Todd said, Im not going to try to predict anything Trump might do. I think theres a lot of us that thought he wouldnt get this far. We didnt think he would turn in the financial disclosure. Im through making predictions about how long Trump stays wherever. I think hes reportedly looking into how he could get on the ballot in 50 states as an independent candidate. He has the resources to do it. I could picture him deciding for he feels unwelcome with the Republicans. If he runs as a third party it likely makes Hillary Clinton president or whoever the Democratic nominee is. In his mind he would say Im the reason shes elected. And I can picture him wanting to have that honor.

At this point, I’d like to see Trump and Cruz form The Conservatives for America Party, or whatever they would like to call it. We need a new party to crowd out the sludge of the two corrupt ones currently ruining the country.
Clinton doesn’t have a chance, and we all know it. Voters dislike her so much, that the majority was determined to defeat her at any cost and did so—a lesson that should be remembered.
BS!
“BS!”
Yah think, Dinozzo?
Amazing Jeb never gets asked if he will run third party
The Donald does not make threats.
He makes promises. And keeps them.
A distance-and-direction urination contest can only end badly, especially if the wind is at The Donald’s back.
And the wind is picking up all the time.
If Jeb is the nominee, the GOP will be the third party.
As we all know to well, an “R” behind your name is meaningless. Trump will remain in the “R” category, but he’s not gonna dance to the RNC tune, whether campaigning or elected.
And why would Trump do that?
Don’t forget , it’s not who votes that counts , it’s who counts the votes . http://www.westernjournalism.com/spanish-company-will-count-american-votes-overseas-in-november/
No, it isn’t. If Trump runs as an independent, it WILL give the dem nominee the Whitehouse. A certain proportion of the population (close to half) is always going to vote straight dem, regardless, so Donald Perot only needs to pull a small percentage to give the dems a comfortable win. Now, if the GOP nominee is Bush, it wouldn’t matter anyway.
To accept the Hillary-will-be president scenario, you have to assume Hillary will be in the race. All this means is that Trump is serious after all and is sending a message the Republican head hogs.
Noticed your screen name. Saw a clip of Trump calling the hogs, something I never thought to see. I used to listen to that sound a lot of Saturday afternoons from my apartment near campus.
Well, if he gets on the ballots in the swing states or ‘Pubbie states as independent, that will be it. We will have President Hillary!.
.....Meet the Press host Chuck Todd claimed Donald Trump was looking into how he could get on the ballot in 50 states as an independent candidate.....
Sounds to me like Chuck Todd is running a disinformation service for both the GOPE and the DEMS.
That is about all the have at this point to discredit Trump suggesting he'll run 3rd party. They know the very thought of that will upset some of the base.
More disinformation from the GOPe. This meme has been pushed for weeks by Rove et. al. They want to discourage anyone from supporting Trump whom they portray as not a serious candidate. Time and again the pundits have been wrong about Trump. The most laughable charge is that Trump is hurting the GOP brand. LOL. I guess the GOP likes being called The Stupid Party.
Not so amazing when you consider Jeb has been promised the nomination regardless.
Havin read all comments, most were as expected......... Trump said none of what F Todd said......... this is only F Todd wishin crap
