The machines started humming this week, the mixers were running, and the freezers were chilling. They started making ice cream. Not just ice cream, but Blue Bell Ice Cream The Best Ice Cream in the Country. The production crew was making sure they followed all the new procedures for getting cleaned up and the equipment spic & span. In the Blue Bell plant in Sylacauga Alabama, everyone was smiling. This was the first batch of Blue Bell being produced since March in any of the Blue Bell plants. This batch will not be headed to stores. Instead, it will be tested to make certain the new procedures have eliminated the listeria bacteria that has plagued the company since earlier this year.

Blue Bell wasn’t that good before it turns out they were trying to kill the customer. I’ll stick with Talenti.
I believe the chocolate HEB Creamy Creations is the best chocolate ice cream I have ever had. Made in San Antonio.
I love Blue Bell
You’re right though Talenti and Graeters are both better and cost more
I grew up on Seale Lily which was nice
Even Pet and Bordens and Sealtest made ice cream then
Haagen Daz was first boutique brand and Steves
Lots of italian soft rich gelato better too
And homemade too....custard style
I think the region matters and quality of dairies
Grom and Milk Made
Tillamook and Umpqua
Movenpick
Us too... one day, I was at Shady Glen with my ex and her kids, when Paul and JoAnne stopped in. He talked to us about Shady Glen. They might be liberal, but they had class. They were coming home from The Hole in the Wall camp.
True...Breyers is not the same....
Lets See... UConn Dairy Bar, Fish Family Farms, Dr. Mikes are also good in CT...along with the Ridgefield ex Carval stand that the Stern’s wrote in ‘Roadfood’
The Natural Bean Vanilla is by far my favorite.
