The Joe the Bartender skit with Frank Fontaine was a lot of fun also.

I saw Art Carney interviewed on some show, probably Merv Griffin, and he said the inspiration for that was his own father. He said his father was supposed to sign his report card and he would always do that. Carney said he wanted to just stick it in front of him at the last minute hoping he would just sign it so he could grab it and run out the door. But he always took his time with the hand gestures, giving him time to look over the report card.
