I’m saving mine. Still, the number of black football players in jail for murder, rape, robbery and assault is filling up pages of my football card book.
That is a national shame and I’m glad the Haley spoke up to the young players and said what he did.
Now he and Charles Barkley, plus Sam Smith, ESPN, are lonelier than the Maytag Repair Men, but they have their honor, while others sold out years ago.
It seem that so called progress has made those terms almost obsolete. I recently traveled along the interstate highway system through over 20 different states and noticed that, while in my youth almost all public restrooms were labeled with the terms “Ladies or Gentlemen” those terms were only used in the rest stops of one state. That was the State of Mississippi. A meaningless observation for sure, but one brought to mind by your comment.

As a native Texan with two counties names after my family - Starr and Crane - I support your pronunciation remark. Though I'd have inserted a Z instead of S since most of their names contain the former.
Charlie Sheen is a legend. You can’t kill him. His career has been said to be “ended” since the 80’s but he keeps coming back. Go Charlie!
Which is why I've almost completely lost interest in the NFL. I used to be able to name a good number of players in the league, but hardly know any of them now - and I don't care. I can find better things to do on a Sunday.
