[NFL COUNTDOWN LIVE THREAD--]
NFC East Q&A: Who will win the division and who will make the playoffs?
Today's question: Who will win the NFC East and how many teams from the division will make the playoffs?
Todd Archer, Dallas Cowboys: Im going with the Cowboys.
Dan Graziano, New York Giants: The Dallas Cowboys should end the division's long streak without a repeat winner this year.
Phil Sheridan, Philadelphia Eagles: Until I see some tangible proof otherwise, Im going with the team that proved itself the best last year. Yes, Dallas--
John Keim, Washington Redskins: ...Ill opt for Dallas to become a repeat winner.

Seven, what have you heard about if your Waiders move to LA...
they will leave the AFC West for the NFC West with the Seahags taking their place?

So, you're a quitter?
Other famous comebacks from twice as far behind with less time left:
1914 Miracle Braves:
"They spent the first part of the season in last place, posting a record of 26 wins and 40 losses in early July. Led by three pitchers, Dick Rudolph, Bill James, and Lefty Tyler, the team began to win games, taking over first place for good on September 8. Their record over their final 89 games was 7019 for a winning percentage of .787." [Wiki] They also won the World Serious.
1951 NY Giants:
They were 13-1/2 games behind on August 11th and won the pennant.
Man up!

The only pre-season predictions I'm willing to make with 100% certainty is that the Carolina Panthers will win the
super bowl.............NFC South! ...And I will beat the sportsbooks this year (after losing pretty bad last season for the first time in a long time)
I wish we could do a better job of keeping a running tally this season with our picks but it's pretty time consuming so I doubt that will happen! Perhaps there's a fantasy league out there that is our style of straight picking every game?

I’ll take Dallas, too. They remind me a lot of the early 90’s Cowboys. Last year they came close to getting to the NFC championship game like they did in 1991. The next year they won it all. It’ll be real interesting to see if history repeats itself. I’m hoping it will.

I have been adopted to run a Yahoo! Pick’em league composed of FReepers and their wives.
Just pick the winner of each game and assign confidence points.
So if 16 games, and you think that PITT will beat NE on Thursday night like a deflated football, then give PITT a full 16 points.
If you have no clue who will win (check out my picks last year) then you assign 1 point. In my case, I have guess between CLE and the Jets, or between Tampa and Tennessee. One of those guys will get 1 point and the other gets two points.
Simple, easy and nothing is involved but pride and Monday morning quarterbacking.

Re:

Yet could not get... enough FReepers to join--
But count me... in if you get enough to make it happen--
But all my babes & galbots have more important tasks to do... and they are all for pleasing ME!

Nice rings, but really, the only one you could actually wear in public is probably the SB I Packers ring.
It is classy, and looks almost like a class ring.
The others look like something a rap star would wear.
And I bet they're uncomfortably heavy.
The only time you see modern-day SB rings is when the commentators wear them in studio.
I wager they spend most of their time locked up in the home safe.
