Detroit police are searching for suspects in two sexual assaults Thursday night. Both happened in the same area on Detroit's west side.
A man and woman, both in their early twenties, were walking near West McNichols, three blocks east of Wyoming on Detroit's west side when they were confronted by six men with bad intentions.
Police say the couple was dragged around the back of a nearby building, stripped of their clothes, robbed, and the woman sexually assaulted.
A short time later, two men struck again, pulling the same tactic with another young couple. Forcing the male companion to watch the sexual assault of the woman he was with. It's believed both cases are connected.
The suspects fled on foot, but were seen nearby in a blue Ford SUV.
The first suspect is described as a black male with medium complexion, 58 tall weighing 150 pounds. He had a goatee mustache, and was wearing a blue Polo jogging suit with a red Polo emblem.
The second suspect is described as a black man, about 22 years old, 59 tall weighing 220 pounds. He had dark complexion...

But a black man with a dark complexion? Ummm. I can see a light skinned black person but starting out saying a black man with a dark complexion ...eh.
Explains the new emergence of the Dindu Nuffin tribe....
Perhaps a Black man with particularly dark skin?
I wasn’t referring to you as suicidal - just the city-boys you party with. You’re not going anywhere, you don’t fool me for a second!
“And has all its walls intact.”
And is paid for.
The only thing stopping me from moving to Corktown or Midtown is Detroit’s income tax. That, and the rents have skyrocketed in the past couple of years.
Funny that you should mention $. If you’re looking for poor people living off the government dole, perhaps you should travel to Michigan’s UP.
Hey lots of people doubt the moon landing. You doubt FBI crime stats and decades of historical data/video on Detroit devolution having lived there 52 years.
Which of us seems more credible I wonder. Me or the guy making trailer jokes?
Insurance coverage will do that.
Someone who's never been to Detroit (but may have visited it once or twice), reads about a crime committed in a crappy neighborhood at 3 in the morning, and concludes that the entire city is crappy.
What is that, a Type 1 error? Maybe a real statistician will weigh-in.
So the rents are rising in Corktown and Midtown because of insurance premiums, and not demand. You are in the process of discovering a new field of economics. Please keep going.
Hearing about it? Nowadays it’s customary to have a riot and burn half a town down.
I have said it before and am saying it again. Get armed, stay armed, try not to go out with people who aren’t armed.
The ranks of ferals swell and police officers are quitting in droves...
There will be more and more places you will not be able to go because they are no more police patrolling or even responding there.
Well that’s progress. At least now you went from doubt to admitting I may have risked death with my presence.
Are you seriously going to try arguing that Detroit was not the murder capital for many years? Or that entire books, movies and websites devoted to the collapse of it don’t exist? Or that it has not been a Dem controlled bastion for about 50 or so years? Maybe 40, but multiple decades?
So which part of my statement is false?
Sure there are enclaves of sanity. But it’s a warzone in the overall.
High crime areas have higher insurance rates. Detroit is a high crime area. Not exactly unheard of.
I’m glad you went from ignorance to admitting there are “enclaves of sanity.” See how that works? What do think, this is the Religion forum?
Oh my !
:-)
.
At what point did I deny there were? Can’t ‘progress’ from a position I never took.
Soviet Moscow and Nazi Berlin had enclaves of sanity as well.
However, your conclusion that rents are skyrocketing in Corktown and Midtown because insurance premiums are rising is unfounded. Those new condos being built down there, are they also being built because premiums are rising? LOL
You don’t think building in high crime areas doesn’t impact insurance rates? Really? Is that Obamanomics?
