I want one of these in .308!

I have a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30.06.
Circa 2000 model year.
Out of the box it shoots .76 inches at 100yds with 180gr Noslers.
Can't beat that with a stick.
$799 new.
Yeah, it's a Featherweight. That light barrel allows it to like ONLY ONE bullet weight. I guess I got lucky:)

Start with a Savage Model 10FP or 110FP (tactical) rifle and build it from there. I bought a Model 10FP in .308 at a gun show for a great price. I installed a Choate sniper stock, an adjustable set trigger from Shapshooter Supply, and a Versa Pod bipod. I topped off the optics with a Tasco Super Sniper 10x42M mil-dot scope and A.R.M.S. No. 22M throw lever quick attach-detach 30mm rings. Boy could that rifle shoot! Savage makes one outstanding rifle in its Model 10 or 110 line. I'd put my Savage up against a similar Winchester, Remington, or Ruger product any day.
