When two people come together to form a relationship there are often adjustments in lifestyle that must be made by both parties.
Recently, a man in Virginia was told by his girlfriend that she didn’t care for his dog, giving him the ultimatum that he must choose between her and the animal.
So the man posted an ad to Craigslist explaining the situation and searching for a new home for his soon-to-be ex-companion.
The ad read:
“MY girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. SO I have to re-home her.
“She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done.
“Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
“So … anyone interested in my 30 year old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!!” (H/T Qpolitical)
True love doesn’t make demands of others, but rather figures out a way to work out problems in a manner both can agree on.
This man understood that the love shared between him and his pet beagle was true, gentle and undemanding, unlike that between him and his girlfriend.
There is a reason that dogs are called “man’s best friend.”

You must be talking about HOT DOGS; your right, their messy, if left alone to long they rot, and they give me heart burn.
Canines on the other hand are the best, most loving, most loyal, most honorable friends I have ever had.

I’ve met one person that loves me the way my dog does, and luckily she loves animals as much as I do, so I married her. (She also likes NASCAR, the NFL, and politics)

As a Beagle owner, I love this. I would have not been so nice and just told her Molly and I will enjoy having the house to ourselves again.

Amen! I live my life with that as one of my strongest rules. Humans have used the canine intuition for millennia, why change now.
To those on the post who said they’ve been bitten. Did you consider your actions as a cause. They don’t even have to be overt. If you “feel” fear around a dog, they know it and some dominant species will take advantage. It requires a ton of mental discipline but you can turn off that unconscious fear.
If I were a guy, I wouldn’t want a woman like that one-and I would probably ridicule her with a Craig’s List ad, too-that is hilarious...
To each their own, but I’m even careful of customers who don’t like/have cats or dogs-they aren’t usually trustworthy or pleasant to do business with-obviously they don’t like humans very much, either. If my Husky or 3 cats-indoor pets all-do not like someone, I will have as little to do with that person as possible-in the 16 years I’ve had her, my Husky has alerted me to more than one bad situation.
The more people I meet, the more I like dogs!
