Nope! Lets have Texas [which joined the United States as a result of a treaty, and, thereby, the constitutional limitation of the Supreme Court decision in Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869) in which the court held that the Constitution did not permit states to unilaterally secede from the United States was corrupt in that Texas was admitted to the Union by President Tyler's treaty of annexation in April 1844- and Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 provides that [The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur...

Accordingly, let's go back to the Republic of Texas, as it was on the map of 1836:
