I've been a political junkie since I was 16 years old, but, I have never heard a political speech like Donald Trump's speech today in Phoenix, AZ.
I'd like to hear from some FReepers as to what was the one or two things in the speech that stood out, the most, to you? My two would be:
#1. Five (5) Sanctuary Cities in Florida during Jeb Bush's time as Governor.
#2. Why would America elect a woman who was the worst Sec. of State in the history of our nation, to the Office of President of the United States?
I wish I could remember the word(s) he used to diss Al Sharpton.
LOL!
Gotta say, I'm enjoying the bitterness.
Understand that. But this guy is saying things that need said right now, and he is someone that the rank and file American who doesn’t spend all day on Free Republic like we do will listen to. Trump’s a loose cannon, but we need cannons in this war, loose or not. The hour is short. If this guy is saying 90 percent of the stuff all of us around here want said, and has the guts to say it in front of thousands, then more power to him. Actually, I’ve always just kind of chuckled at him. At this point, I think he’s pretty brave.
That’s a good idea. I haven’t read “Art of the Deal” either.
Over the years, I’ve seen many politicians show up late at speeches, dinners, etc. I’ve been late for things and you probably have too.
Is everybody who shows up late for things an inconsiderate asshole?
I’m not bitter. I was actually amused watching as you people slobbered all over this fool. But I would bet many of those he left standing out in the hot Phoenix sun were.
Rose above political pundantry.
All talking heads sound stupid now.
Travis County is Austin; the liberal bastion of Texas.
Called the Macy’s guy out by name. Embarrased the hell out of him.
When did I say he was an inconsiderate asshole? I’m pretty certain I didn’t. I said he was an inconsiderate dumbass and I believe he was. Asshole was your word, not mine.
If you think you’re not bitter, you best have a conversation with those fingers of yours that do the typing, ‘cuz they’re letting some bile on to the screen.
My bad. I thought you had said that. I should have checked again before I posted it, but it did keep you from answering the question so, it was probably good.
Counter protestors were chanting USA, USA (equally as vapid but it got the job done).
He eventually came in and said, "Don't worry, we'll take our country back"
“Gotta say, I’m enjoying the bitterness.”
Not saying DT is the one but if you are bitter about his speech then you are obviously vested in another candidate.

BTTT
I’m all for him saying what he wants to say. But no conservative should take this lifelong liberal democrat seriously and think he a contender for the republican nomination. He is, after all, a lifelong liberal democrat. Yet not only do many here take him seriously, they attack long time FReepers who don’t. Don’t get me wrong, I can handle their attacks; they’re mostly uninformed dupes. But it is startling to so many who call themselves conservative falling for this liberal schmuck simply because he says what they want to hear. Sad, really.
great summary. no teleprompter was the most impressive!
He said: “The dream in America is dead. But, we will make it great again.” The news station ran the first sentence and deleted the second one.
