Ronnie Dio was singing doo wop in the 50s and ended up becoming one of the biggest metal singers of all time. The only singer who comes anywhere near Dio as far as vocals are concerned is Bruce Dickenson.

Add Rob Halford and you have the top 3. Even if we now know why he could hit those high noted the dude could belt.

Dio was head-and-shoulders above all the others.

And I actually preferred Paul Di’anno to Bruce Dickinson.
