What the ____ is up with all the rain in the Midwest?

We Ohioans tend to go on about the weather in the Buckeye State but dang man its rained like 3 weeks straight.

I feel this is a bit excessive, and I knew it was getting serious when I couldn't buy lumber at any of the local Lowe's and Home Depots... Apparently some dewd named Noah has put in some big orders for building materials...

There is also a rumor going around that some alien race is terraforming the Earth to support Merpeople...

Also a møøse once bit my sister...

Jet stream, el nino, we could use some up here in western Washington. Dry and 90’s for too long, finally some clouds this AM. The sky is hazy from forest fires in Canada.

I'm in Norway just about 18 miles south of Oslo and yesterday we got as much rain in one day as what normally falls in the entire month of July. It's been a cold wet spring and now summer so far.

A friend of mine has lost 200+ acres of corn to the rains and flooding. He is hoping the field will dry enought that he can get in a late planting of soybeans to replace the corn.

Not just the midwest...

Mu little part of the southwest has already received about double the rain we normally get in a year.

This is the first spring / summer in decades when forest / range fires were not a constant worry and threat.

Also the coolest / coldest - spring /summer in my 60+ years

Yeah we’ve had massive flooding in our area, it’s really insane, this is worse than it was back in 1993, and that was supposed to be related to the 500 year flood

Welcome to my world. We’ve had rain in KC each day for over 90% of the days since the first of May. Last Monday night I picked up another two-plus inches on my property in about an hour.

"I'm in Norway..."

Wait you have rain?

I have friends in Norway and they tell me you only have four seasons there.

1. Snow

2. More Snow

3. Even More Snow

4. Getting ready to Snow

When did y'all start getting rain?

Mid-Michigan here, much the same. Most of June rained, (Around 16+ inches in June) and so far, outside of the weekend of the 4th of July, July has been overcast, though not raining as much.

Have friends in northern Iowa, they’d like to have some rain. Fields are drying up. Corn’s dying.
