Initially only trying to defensively stop this crazy drunk lady from attacking him, he finally had enough (after being kicked [maybe in the nuts] and then almost getting left hooked . Proceeded to retaliate with one quick punch and then retreated to escape the situation.
By the way I am not a FSU fan and don’t care one wit about the fact that this guy is a football player.
To me it’s obvious this woman instigated the entire incident and if anyone should have been charged it should have been her.
If I were this guy, I would be suing the girl, the DA, the school and possibly even the bar. This guys life might literally be over because some drunk girl attacked him and he over reacted in defense.
People need to stop focusing on the fact that this guy was a black football player and the woman was white. NONE of that matters.
Watch that video again and pretend HE was the one at the bar and the Girl was the one trying to push past and you will see the truth about who is at fault here.

Anyway, your description of what happened sounds like something a slime ball lawyer might say. The guy was on her butt as she was stepping up to the bar. She may have been trying to get away from the a-hole. I know it's very trendy today, but not all girls are into the OJ-Nicole thing.
And when you say, "been in this situation 100's of times", do you mean women have rejected your advances, and/or you've been slapped or punched for touching women inappropriately?
