Sorry about your Mrs. Hope she is better soon. Your forever onions may be Egyptian walking onions. Do a google image on that. I have a patch that has been going for over 20 years. I have to work to keep it under control. When they get really old and thick like young leeks try oiling them up and salt & pepper and grilling them. Yummy. I am still waiting on tomatoes - Michigan.

Wow, I think you're right, they're Egyptian walking onions. However mine have never developed round bulbs like some of the photos but rather slender bulbs like a scallion.

But dang, they are prolific! And thanks on the grilling tip. I have found some of them rather "chewy".

Your tomatoes will come, was just out watering and worked up a sweat, mine will be done for in 3 weeks. Pretty much impossible to grow much in our scorching July and August.
