Bubba Watson, the third-ranked golfer in the world and owner of one of the official General Lee cars from the late 1970s TV show "Dukes of Hazzard" has decided to paint over the Confederate flag that adorns the top of the widely recognizable vehicle.
Watson tweeted his plans Thursday night about the car he bought at auction several years ago for $110,000.

I think he was in Union Blue at Harpers Ferry as well but I could be wrong about that

I originally thought Bubba was a conservative Christian. But then I read he is very obnoxious toward fans and his fellow golfers. And now he goes politically correct with the Confederate flag.
Maybe he’s a liberal, after all.
...and after all the Confederate flags are burned, after all the Ten Commandment plaques are torn down, after all the Christmas trees are removed, and all the churches burned to the ground, Liberals will still hate themselves.
Why not just stuff the car in a car compactor and be done with it?
Most southerners never thought of race at all when we beheld the Confederate flag, we felt pride in our distinct culture, which for us was not exclusive of southern blacks. It was perhaps exclusive of recently arrived northerners of any shade, unless they bought us a beer or something.
We adored Charley Pride for Pete’s sake.
Everyone opposed to the flag is assuming they can read minds, and if they truly could, there would be no flag flap.

If he folds to the PC Police on the flag, which is an inanimate object which merely fluttered in the breeze; what will he do about the name on the car, the name of a living being who fought for the right to continue the enslavement of other human beings?
I personally see no benefit from going back and picking off scabs. History is ancient past. None of us alive today were involved in it. Let it be. But if you’re going to join the silliness in regard to the flag, be man enough to address the REAL meaning of the long-past unpleasantness.

I’m a PGA fan and I will so not root for this guy ever. I’ve never been a huge fan of Bubba’s anyway. He’s always seemed to be a sort of a girly man who barely keeps his emotions in check. He goes into meltdown mode very easily when things don’t go his way. His knee-jerk cave-in on the General Lee just reinforces my picture of him as a wussy. Maybe in addition to changing the car he can change his name to Caitlyn.
