He looked dazed, and a bit shocky. Little surprise given that intense crash. As they say, it isn’t’t the crash that kills you,it’s the sudden stop at the end.
I’m way too tired to figure the energy coefficient of a two-ton car hitting the crash fence at 200mph, but it has got to be incredible. And he walked away. Just wow....

As soon as Dan Wheldon hit the fence I paused the TV, called my wife into the room and told her I just watched a man die... I didn’t need the replays to know.
I honestly had the same thought tonight. I’m astounded and thankful I was wrong this time.
