NASCAR appears to be backing off on their Confederate flag ban to some extent.
They’re now saying it won’t be immediate but they will offer American flags for trading with Confederate flags.
will there be confederate flags in the infield???
stopped watching when they regulated STOCK CARS out of the sport.
Next, Nascar moves over to NBC, who has also stirred up their own controversy by acting like they dumped the Donald. Oh, what is a person to do?
Wishing you and yours a safe, peaceful, Fourth of July, race fans.

I really doubt anyone wants to watch modern “stock” cars race.
I predict(really going out on a limb here) there will be a sea of Confederate flags on the infield this year. More than ever before.
And of course, wait till Dega happens in Alabama!!!
Wouldn't that be sweet. And NBC would take the blame (unless the cancel their NASCAR contract like they are trying with Trump).

But where are the pics? What articles I found out about it online are showing one flag from years ago. Show us the evidence.
“I predict(really going out on a limb here) there will be a sea of Confederate flags on the infield this year.”
And, camera crews are repositioning camera stands, even as we speak...to better avoid infield shots.
Does anyonew know why the race is on Sunday night rather than Saturday. I know Sat is the 4th, but it would seem to better play on Sat night. Has this happened before when the 4th landed on Sat.?
I actually prefer Sat, especially since it is on a non network channel and I have to go to the bar to watch.

Since the CSA flag dust up I will not watch any NASCAR races until the change their position. It’s part of their history damn it.
Daytona International Speedway will not ban the Confederate flag but will offer a flag exchange for fans attending this weekends NASCAR races there.
I think the goal of any NASCAR event, and specifically Daytona, we want to be inclusive to everyone, Joie Chitwood, president of Daytona International Speedway, said Tuesday. The last thing you want is for anyone to come to a sporting event and really not enjoy that experience because of symbols that really represent things that were not proud of.
NASCAR has already made their anti-Southern bed now they will have to lie in it.
Sunday’s race is on NBC. Just the qual and Xfinity are on NBCSN.
Sigh. Jeff was the guy. And this being his last year, was wishing him the best. But, I will probably be skipping this race.
If not offending anyone is their goal, they may as well close up shop. Their whole “industry” was built on the offensive. And their continued performance is offensive to the far left greenies. Seriously.
