I am trying to restore my computer to a previous date but it does not give me a restore date option...help anyone!!!
I don’t have any issues.....been using it since the mid 90s...
I use Kaspersky these days....excellent firewall and protection.
I do a lot of surfing in China....you have to wear good protection.......lol
Then buying an Apple and running Windows under Parallels is no solution at all. It's just a more expensive way to achieve the same result.
Never gonna happen........Never....
What you don’t know ... CAN HURT YOU !
Nope.......They obtained the credentials....
It had nothing to do with windows security and in fact they may well have gotten those creds from a Apple machine..
The new OS...Windows 10.....
Is free...
I didn’t intentionally...but it was installed today
Like most Apple fan boys....you have it wrong..
Apple is no more or less secure than windows in terms of data theft..or breaches..
Granted, windows XP is not secure today and has not been supported for a long time. Anyone still using it is not very bright...IMO..
But neither are the old Apple OS’s...
There's no indication the data is needing to be restored because of a virus, or that there has been any identity theft.
How about just leaving the thread to people who might be able to actually get the data restored and his system back up and running. If you need a thread to indoctrinate the unwashed in the Dogma of Apple, start one instead of hijacking this one.
try reinstalling it......the settings and data created by the program may still be intact, then use the program’s interface to try and repair your machine..
If that fails, I would go into your data, documents, email and all that....and your user folders etc, and back them all up to a external drive...buy one if you need to.
Then reload the OS....
it’s what I usually do with a catastrophic issue, and it always works for me..
In addition to that, your reinstall will also save your data as ‘windows old” and you should have total access to it. But your programs that you installed will have to be reinstalled on the new copy of the OS..
By the way, if you use my suggestion to reinstall the OS, it gives you two options.
1. a fresh install which deletes all of your data...and reformats the drive.
2. a reintall that keeps the data as windows old..
Choose option one, only if you entire machine has been corrupted by a worm or virus and you don’t want or need to take the time to clean it sufficiently.. That option essentially sets you computer back to the out of the box new condition.
I’m not stopping you from your HOPELESS CAUSE !
I have some very aged issues with Apple and it’s founder..
It took a while but when I finally got access it worked like a charm...thanks
windows 8
Well, MS works....
Issues are largely attributable to third party vendors who apparently refuse to update when MS updates and that causes problems that your average users does not understand much less know how to fix.
Apple....to avoid these issues, essentially controls your computing experience like a third world tyrant and you little control if any over the machine you own.
If that is acceptable to you....then carry on....
