Etymology: 1400-1450 1400-50; late Middle English obdurat < Latin obdūrātus (past participle of obdūrāre to harden), equivalent to ob- ob- + dūr (us) hard + -ātus -ate1

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The obdurate Left will not stop until they crush believers, and eradicate the Church. Well meaning gay conservatives would prefer not to think so, but they are whistling in the dark on this.

I have heard sodomy explained as thus. To take the seed of life, sperm, and deposit it in sh!t is to make a mockery of the gift of life that God has bestowed upon man. The devil does this with Holy Communion, the Trinity, and all things Christian, is it no surprise that the very gift of life is mocked in this act? The simple laws of nature tell us this, if one cares enough to pay attention. And they do this despite the risk of AIDs. End Times.
Let us be as stubborn, as unyielding, as hardnosed, as obstinately obdurate as those who seek this nation’s demise.
Indeed, more so.
Let us demand absolute obedience by all government to every word of our Constitution in its original intent.
Let us not yield. Not for one fleeting moment. Let this nation rise again in all its former glory from the ashes left by the fiery ravishes of liberalism.
I read yesterday that the show Family Guy [which I have never seen] is credited with raising public acceptance of homosexuality from 40% to 60%, since it’s been on. Those who rolled their eyes at the culture wars will have to accept that it has served to fundamentally transform our country just as Obama set out to do.
Louis, I agree, but I am feeling defeated. There are many young republicans who have applauded the decision. I am prepared to be obdurate in defending my faith, but I fear we have already lost this country.
I don’t know how anybody could quantify that or ascribe it to one TV show.
obviously it’s not a single TV Show, there are many; and it’s the cultural acceptance which has rapidly propelled this change.
like I said, I have never seen the show, but when my best friend’s son came out as gay, her daughter who was in medical school at the time, commented how they were just like so and so on Family Guy. That’s why that line or reasoning resonated with me, I had heard it cited, personally.
Christian heirarchs, priests, dioceses, parishes, and the Faithful need to be obdurate in refusing to recognize same-sex “marriage”, but gentle toward those who repent!!!!
By the way, today is the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on the Orthodox New Calendar. Their Epistles contain much relevant material for dealing with the current situation! (I was blessed to read some of these Epistles in the services of this past week.)
We must fight knowing our enemy and searching out his every weakness. The most conspicuous is that liberalism has no moral foundation. It is based purely on emotion and sentiment. A good starting point might be to insist: "If it feels good it is probably immoral. Stop and think."
We are now free to blast away with the courage of those who have nothing left to lose. We can become courageous, victorious warriors. We need only recapture the spirit of '76.
