I agree with you that Trump has donated to democrat politicians. If you were running a multi-Billion dollar business in democrat dominated states like NY, you would be as well. Ask any successful big businessman if his primary intent in giving political donations is party preference or protection from government attacks on his business.
If you add all Trump donations to democrats over his lifetime, it is less than 0.05% of his net worth. I would call that extremely stingy donations to democrats. Looks like he outsmarted the democrats!

And he has given to the Clinton Foundation, an act that was meant to appease the most corrupt political couple in the history of this country.
