I've pasted the whole column below. But there is a video that can only be seen on the site/not embedded here. So please, if you support my work, visit the site. If not, no problem.
"Now before you label this as a crazy post, Im not talking about, nor am I predicting some doomsday scenario. Dont expect me to be selling you seeds, food preserves or bomb shelters anytime soon. That is not what I am suggesting here.
Im also not suggesting that you need to buy yourself an AR15 to fight off an onslot of newly married gays. Okay? Okay. So please do more than glance at this headline, and allow me to make my case.
What I am suggesting is that this week, in two monumental rulings, the SCOTUS has showed us that they are no longer bound by, nor do they hold any respect for the United States Constitution. For guns, that matters.
The SCOTUS has now declared all healthcare, and marriage to be fundamental human rights. So much so, that it is now the job of the federal government to force them upon both you as an individual, and the state as law. Now, I dont see either of these things in the United States Constitution.
Crazy thing about the Constitution, is that it actually does outline our rights, pretty expressly. As a matter of fact, one could argue that its the purpose of the document. Enumerated and all that jazz. Healthcare and gay marriage isnt in there. You know what is? Your right to own a gun.
As a matter of fact, according to the Constitution, that is one of the very few rights in which the states are not reserved the right to regulate entirely as they see fit. In case you havent read it, let me paste it for you below.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Pretty cut and dry. Yet unlike marriage, unlike subsidized health Insurance, SCOTUS has allowed states to, in fact INFRINGE! Hell, some states have made it pragmatically impossible to carry a weapon on your person. So clearly, when it comes to even using the Constitution as a guideline, the SCOTUS has jumped the shark.
Regardless of where you line up on same-sex marriage, or even if you personally want free healthcare, there is no arguing that the SCOTUS has displayed an unprecedented use of power when compared to the entirety of American history. Theres also no argument about the fact that the SCOTUS is leaning more and more to the left.
The left has been very, very clear on their ambitions to make guns harder and harder to access. For all citizens. Not just criminals. We know their playbook. Im not saying that your guns will be taken away tomorrow, but that is the end-game.
What is beyond any shadow of a doubt however, is that the SCOTUS has now been given the power, to infringe on your right to bear arms. They could come down with some ruling next June requiring guns to be limited to some arbitrary loading capacity, rendering all of your firearms illegal. Im not saying that they will, but for the first time in our adult lives, this is entirely within the realm of possibility.
We also have already witnessed the great ammo shortage of 2008-2013. Pragmatically speaking, the SCOTUS has myriad ways in which they could should they choose systematically disarm American citizens, but equally important is the way the market responds to SCOTUS decisions. The tides are turning on guns. Its a losing issue for Democrats, so they could never address it head-on. They could however, enforce what would seem to be a very marginal gun law, which could in turn force firearm companies to change their procedures (be it manufacturing, distribution etc.), causing a shortage, raising prices making it nigh impossible for you, the American citizen to purchase a firearm.
So if for any reason, youve ever wanted to buy a firearm but havent gotten around to it, I highly suggest that you do so soon. Because at the very least, we are in uncharted territory as Americans, and its better for you to have made your decision now, than to be on the outside, banging on the door to get in."
He can and should acquire more, but that's the minimum.
This makes me feel dirty... did you mean onslaught?
Yep. - I was raised by a father who had been an infantryman in WWII; had been in N. Africa, Sicily, Italy & Germany. When Truman (the U.S.) dropped the atomic bomb, he was still in the Army, looking at a possibly one-way trip to Japan. - I was raised with guns & “registration” was a foreign concept.
So you’re old enough to remember when this was a free country.
I would itemize, with one “bill of sale” or notice that the firearms had been given as a gift for each child. The point is to provide evidence created prior to any change in the law that legal ownership had already been transferred. Since the paper and writing will be old, that will be proof that your kids legally owned the guns before any new laws were passed if they ever need proof. Then when you transfer physical possession tell them to store the letters in their gun safes; no need to present the proof unless demanded.
I tried to correct it... but it was too late for FREEP
Apparently our government is NOT afraid of its citizens. Perhaps this is something that needs to change.
And for those of us who had to fill out a BATFE Form 4473 for each gun purchase, that registers only the point of initial sale. There is as yet no legal requirement to report the sale of a firearm (in most states).
An old saying has it, “In order for there to be a registration law, there has to be a deregistration law.”
If the Feds show up at your door with a stack of 4473’s & demand “Where are they?”, the reply is, “Sold ‘em all.”
What are they going to do then, arrest you? Probably, they’ll have a ready excuse. Welcome to the new normal.
WRONG.
The correct answer is: "Do you have a search warrant or an arrest warrant? If so, then I will be more than happy to assist in your investigation with my attorney present. If not, please get off of my property".
If you have waited until now, you are way behind.
Never too late for new people to try.
Yes; a free country. My poor old Daddy was left just about stone deaf by the loud noises during combat. He just about loved FDR; Eleanor not so much, was ticked off at her being so powerful. FDR was his CIC. Daddy just about detested draft dodgers for a long time; then when he got older & Bill the Pill Clinton came along, he regarded him as just a boy who didn’t want to go into combat & EXCUSED that weasel. He died before Hillary began REALLY wielding power in this country (& others). In the Bible, Proverbs I think; it talks about when “women rule over them”, and speaks of it as if it’s a shameful thing. As for gays in the military; he had no use for having them in combat; said they generally washed out during basic training. He was tough. The hearing problem kept him in the dark a lot; & hearing aids didn’t help. If he could see Obama & what he’s doing; he would flip out & really see what the democrat party has done to this country. You miss a lot of nuances when your hearing is gone. (He knew I couldn’t abide the Clintons.)
God bless him!
You're behind the times. Most of the Federal laws, as extended by regulations, that ensure pretty much every American citizen, especially if they are in business, commits three felonies a day, have no mens rea element to their definition.
I'll chime in.....There ain't going to be a revolution in yours or mine lifetime as long as you so called revolutionaries have jobs to work, mortgages to pay, payments on your new trucks, SUV's and boats and most importantly, your kids' soccer and football games this weekend..........
If your calendar is clear, maybe next weekend the revolution will start.........but I doubt it.......LOL!
way ahead of the curve on this.
I did buy some ammo today. Not a great price, but a good price. But no guns. Wouldn't have one of those.
Couldn’t care less what you’ve said. Your blog thread you started here assumes we give a rats ass about your comments, as though no one ever bought guns and ammo before because YOU didn’t tell them to.
Jeez, get over yourself. You saying so means nothing to nobody. What a narcissist.
