Some party denziens have dismissed New York businessman Donald Trump and US Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaigns as sideshows. But new polling shows New Hampshire primary voters might disagree.

Two recent surveys put Trump and Sanders in second place for their respective Republican and Democratic nomination fight — and gaining ground on the party’s front-runners.

On Thursday evening, a new poll from WMUR-TV and CNN shows Trump trailing former Florida Governor Jeb Bush by 5 points among Republican voters in the Granite State. The same survey, conducted by the University of New Hampshire, shows Sanders following US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton by 8 points.

Right now I believe Trump is the only real live machine that believes and will do what he says. I wish we had more choices but the rest not much worthwhile. Getting tired of talking points.

Maybe, maybe not.

But NOBODY ELSE is standing up for American jobs, and nobody else is saying we need a real border.

Nobody.

Actually it sounds like I was not old enough to vote for Reagan either time, but for some reason you assume that everyone on here is over 50 years old. Why is that?

I’m thinking, Cruz needs to stand up strongly for bringing back jobs to the USA.

You're a funny guy. NOTHING will bring those jobs "back". And tens of millions more are about to evaporate thanks to robots/software automation.

Just you wait, and watch.

America is tired of this. You had your run, now watch Trump turn things around.

I’m being half serious.

Trump is saying we need to bring back jobs, to America. That is a HUGELY popular position. It won’t buy him the country club Republican vote, but they’re mismanaging everything they get their hands on anyway.

It is time to start rebuilding America.

Trump is standing up and saying that, at exactly the right time to tap into a HUGE electoral backlash against what has been going on trade-wise now for over an entire generation.

I really believe Trump is ready to ride the issue of American jobs all the way to the whitehouse.

Just you watch.

“Donald is the Joker.”

Some people call him Maurice, because he speaks of the pompitous of love.
As long as he’s pi**ing off the GOP-e AND Democraps, he’s my gangster of love.

By next fall I’m anticipating some real Cantor/Luger beat-downs to begin of the sellouts stabbling us in the back like McCain, the Jokers we trusted with power last fall.

The Donald is a party of one, and he’s not Uniparty, Inner party or sellout.
He’s an unguided missile.
:-)

Your knowledge of history seems tied to your age.

Never voted for Reagan (because of your age), but I’m sure you watched plenty of episodes of “The Apprentice”.

A celebrity President?

Our country is truly lost.

“I will crawl on broken glass to vote against this freak show”

At this point, I will attempt to identify who actually cares about this nation more than about their ego, legacy, and agenda, and vote accordingly. It's been decades in the making, but the American system has been successfully circumvented/gamed, and the way back, IMHO, will require recruiting people from outside of the political mainstream. I'm not saying that means Trump, but I do think we'd be much better off with a non-politician.
