Quickly responding to the Confederate Flag dustup that was caused by accused mass-murder Dylan Root's affinity for the banner, companies have swiftly responded, removing offensive merchandise and anything that might link them to the American Civil War. Walmart, Amazon, Sears, eBay stopped selling Confederate flag merchandise.
Apple corporation removed all Civil War themed games from it's "App" store. Sensing that the time was right, the History Channel has announced that it is pulling itself from the cable lineup because they produced a series called "Civil War: A Nation Divided." Honda has announced a recall of all Civics, because of the similarity in name to Civil, which some claim reminds them of the Civil War.
Two school textbook companies, Houghton-Mifflin-Harcourt and Scholastic, have come forward to announce that all chapters related to the American Civil War will be removed from elementary and college texts.
A major dictionary publisher, Merriam-Webster, has ordered a recall of all dictionaries it has published to remove the words "confederate", "civil", "war" and "south" since these words may offend some. It will no longer include these offensive words in future editions, a spokesthing confirmed.
CVS has announced that it will be changing its name, because the letters C, V, and S are found in the phrase "Civil War Southerners". "Better we err on the side of caution, then offend ONE PERSON," CVS's spokesthing stated.
In Jackson, Florida (a city that will soon be renamed) all Civil Litigation shall be named Non-Criminal Litigation, so as to avoid the word 'Civil'. This move is likely to be mimicked throughout the country, one legal analyst noted.
The American Society of Librarians has recommended that the letters C, V, L, F, D, W, E, A, S, T, and R be stricken from the alphabet, since they can be assembled into deadly assault phrases such as "Confederate" or "Civil War" or "Southern". When asked what we could use in their stead, the spokesthing for the Society remarked, "Russia has used Cyrillic letters to great effect for hundreds of years, and they never had a racist southern confederacy."
President Obama appeared at a press conference today, and, noting the recent corporate moves, stated "I want to thank the companies who have acted, for doing the right thing today. However, you are still not off the hook. We will be looking to you to do a lot more.... reparations and outright discrimination against whites is something we will be encouraging."
reason I’m asking is because I lean toward the pistol for home defense. Wanted to get some gadgetry to improve accuracy, considering suppressor but worried about rogue ATF. Just looking for some thoughts on this.

It means, a resistance to the tyranny of political correctness.
It means hostility to censorship, to the point of death.
It means, opposition to mindless hysteria.
It means, pure antipathy — nay, hatred! — of the media for fanning the flames of hysteria and aggravating the uproar.
It means great objection to being backstabbed by the party — the Republicans — that tries to convince me that they are my home.
This is the core thought of an editorial I will write.

Anyone remember standing in the voting booth on November 6, 2012 and thinking that as long as I only vote for conservatives I’ll feel good about myself? I remember.
Feel good? No....
I feel miserable. Sure, on principle I did the right thing. However, my principles versus saving the country, from what has happened these past two weeks, I can only take responsibility for it. The liberals gave me the gun and I was more than happy to put it in my mouth and pull the trigger. That’s what they wanted and I obliged.
They gave us a sacrificial lamb knowing full we would stay home. Not only did they give us a sacrificial lamb, they telegraphed it. They did that to us, and knowing full well Hillary will be the 2016 nominee against any of the 15 Republican candidates who will be the sacrificial lamb with less than 10% of the vote, we will once again stay home because of our principles.
This past week the liberals sealed the deal by putting out stories about the only candidate who can save the country. Ted Cruz voted for the TPA before voting against it when it counted. How many Conservatives left the Ted Cruz camp because of that?
So what are they left with? Staying home again? Will that make us feel any better? I guess a better question is, “knowing what we know now about the Republican party and their giving the Executive branch of government carte blanche with their support, will there even be an election in 2016?”
Sorry for the rant. These past two weeks I saw the country I loved and protected not fall off the cliff, but gleefully jump off the cliff, without a care in the world. We witnessed first hand the opening salvo by the NE Liberal Elites in the war against the Conservative south.
Our Constitution desecrated, our freedoms trampled on, our ability to protect our Nation against domestic and foreign enemies decimated and here we sit, angry, upset and with no ability to defend ourselves hence we be called racists, sexists or homophobes.
It was said in 2009 and couldn’t be put more eloquently, “It’s only words.” Or just maybe “we won you lost” had another meaning. Needless to say, stick a fork in America as we know it, it’s done.
