While I have a handful or more favorites, I am curious who my fellow freepers elevate to the top of their list?
My list starts with;
Annie Lennox
Kate Bush
Tracey Thorn (Everything but the Girl)
And oddly enough
Cindi Lauper
There's soo many more.
Dolly Parton is right up there.

Funnily enough, I just went on Youtube and looked up a Kenny Loggin song for the first time in many years, and his voice isn’t nearly as girly as I remember. I just realized that my mental impression of Loggins’s voice was created by the exaggerated falsetto version of “Danger Zone” my dad used to do in his wild and crazy Naval Aviation days.

What a drop dead gorgeous woman she was - and what a voice. I wish we could go back to those days when we all loved those great black singers and nobody was fixated on race 24/7. A lost world. Loved the costumes too, lol!

Anybody remember Marilyn McCoo from the 5th Dimension? A soaring voice. Great voice! Lots of hits.

Michelle wasn’t bad either and she sure looked a lot better. I have an old Mamas and Papas CD somewhere and there is one in which Michelle does the lead and it sounds great.
