In fairness to them, some of the reason for the upset is righteous. Alexander Hamilton is not someone that people have a problem with, said the director of the Women On 20s campaign. Why kick the great man off the currency instead of the far more dubious Andrew Jackson? I couldnt agree more.
But thats not the only reason. Some feel that women are being, er, shortchanged:

Jackson did a lot more then some seem to know. I thought my history was damn good until about mid 2009 when a friend visited me. He wanted to tour the Hermitage.

I don’t care who or what is on the $20. What I do care about is this is wasting untold tax dollars.

Actually, Martha Washington was on the $1 silver certificate for a time, beginning in 1886.

Molly Pitcher was the first name that popped into my mind. When I was in about third grade I read a biography about her and never forgot how important and brave she was.

“Put Lena Dunham on it. Thats her price, and her worth.”
No that would be a 2 cent piece, if ever minted. I’m not even sure Laz would give that for her.

We tend to forget that Alexander Hamilton belongs for many reasons but one of the best is that he was the Secretary of the Treasury and was instrumental in making the US Currency sound money! I hope that what I am reading about shared portraits is true and if so, after 10 years or so, do it to Jefferson and Jackson.

I wonder how much that job pays. Does anyone remember seeing a job posting for the position? She gets paid in cash.

As a software engineer, I wouldn't mind Rear Admiral Grace M. Hopper, USN, Ph.D. (December 9, 1906 January 1, 1992). She was an American computer scientist and one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer in 1944. Admiral Hopper invented the first compiler for a computer programming language, and was one of those who popularized the idea of machine-independent programming languages, which led to the development of COBOL, one of the first high-level programming languages. She is credited with popularizing the term "debugging" for fixing computer glitches (inspired by an actual moth removed from the computer). Owing to her accomplishments and her naval rank, she is sometimes referred to as "Amazing Grace".

Nice, but I guess I would want someone of the same caliber as the founding fathers. Someone who has done quite a bit to sustain and maintained the country, not some industry. And who is dead...a long time.
