NEW YORK -- Billionaire television personality and business executive Donald Trump formally began his Republican presidential campaign Tuesday in Manhattan, saying the United States has become "a dumping ground for other people's problems."
"Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a truly great leader now," said Trump. "We need somebody who can take the brand of the United States and make it great again.
"So ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States," Trump told a crowd gathered at Trump Tower. He promised "to bring back our jobs, to bring back our manufacturing" and to be "a great cheerleader."

I think Trump could be the one to even spearhead a term limits amendment. If he gets in on a populist movement, calls out the rats and traitors and says this is why we need term limits and the American people would demand it. The dead meat pols read the writing on the wall and really have no choice but to agree, knowing they are dead at the polls next time anyway.
So here’s a question I have. Trump prides himself on not being about to be bought by lobbyists or other people, so in general can you think of a situation where rich people can be bought? Even as I type this I can think of the Clintons and they seem to be bought every day. They’re rich but they got that way be being bought. Can Trump be bought if power is attached to it?
Trump did well on Hannity tonight. He took it down a notch and seemed more statesman like.
(I did not plan this, I promise)
LOL...you and he feel the same way about China ;-)
I thought so, too. Does he make speaking mistakes? (Putin can’t stand 0bama!) Sure he does...he’s not a professional campaigner ;-)
I hope Trump does not get too polished or he will be like the rest of those careful little guys that are running. But he does need to tone down the rhetoric and I have a feeling his people and probably Melania have talked with him because he was much better tonight.
“This self-serving POS makes no undertaking unless It directly benefits him.”
Which would make him different from the other candidates in what way?
While the Presidency doesn’t pay all that much while in office (for those elected its usually a pay cut) it does have plenty of rewards. Perhaps those are what Donald Trump is focused on.
As for being a stalking horse for shrillary, she’s her own worst enemy. Why would he care? Some obscure senator, a socialist no less without two dimes to rub together may well clean her clock in NH. Unless Jeb! Is nominated, I don’t see that she has a chance. People pick candidates based on likeability and she has none. She comes off as America’s Ex Wife, and she can’t get the votes of men within her own party let alone outside it. Her only road to the White House is through Jeb! the vote slayer.
The other candidates didn’t in 2004 claim to be democrats. The other candidates (except maybe Jeb!) didn’t plunk $$$ into the “Clinton foundation.” The other candidates didn’t express a desire form”universal health care.”
That’s how the differ from Trump.

I’d rather see the “Donald” be a spokesman for our strongest candidate. But his telling us that Karin Johnson (Whoopie Goldberg) is a best friend rather than just an acquaintance shows me that he makes friends with disgusting people, and is putting on a good act with a lot of bluster . . . just like I said about Ross Perot.
XLNT idea
.they both tell it like it is, from different ends of the spectrum. Interesting how often the far left and far right actually agree on things.
He promises that, but ends up firing them.
