BEIJING (Reuters) - China on Wednesday rebuffed comments by U.S. real estate mogul and presidential contender Donald Trump that China is stealing U.S. jobs through crafty business practices, saying trade between the two countries was win-win.

He'll get a lot of supporters very, very quickly if they overplay this.

You sure you don’t live in Colorado?
342 Billion Dollars...
And growing. Rapidly. Someone is finally saying what has for whatever reason, not been said for over one entire generaration.
Finally.
Trump is right on, about trade. Right on.
Anyone can mouth words you want to hear during a publicity stunt. You can’t seriously (along with many others here) be quaffing this man’s Kook-aid. This guy is PT Barnum, Huey Long and a Kardashian all rolled into one. LOL
all that Chinese made stuff has been great for the American landfill industry.
Running a huge budget deficit doesn’t help in the long run.
I am serious, about what Trump is saying. Completely so.
He is the only one saying many of these things, and he has the wealth to not march to a lobbyists agenda (which will be very important to actually addressing these issues).
Trump is right, completely right about this. And he is now in the race. Does Ted Cruz have any concerns about America running a 342 billion trade deficit with China last year?
If not, what the heck is wrong with him? If so,... why is he not saying so?
The issue is not Trump. The issue is not what Trump is very bravely saying.
The issue is, why is every other candidate completely silent on this, very important issue?
I don’t know . I find his blatant arrogance refreshing .
I am sick and tired of American wimp politicians ,with all their parsed phrasing and p/c speeches .
I think America can use a good doze of balls-to-the walls brash . F with us and die like the rest . We need to counter Putin and all the crafty chinks . We need to intimidate the crap out of the jihadists ; Psywar along with ArchLight works for me . Trump just seems strange because we have been ass deep in wimps and pussies for a long long time . It’s time for radical change .
Trump needs to do more than think about winning a trade fight with China considering their cyber attacks on the US and military buildup in the South China Sea with artificial islands and so on......
Huh? You think Cruz is PC? Seriously?
no , I love Cruz . It goes against my grain that he is a lawyer , as I feel that America should be led by warriors and not by lawyers . but perhaps he is a ‘good lawyer’ . However , compared to Trump , Cruz has to be beholden to the same money carrot that is the downfall of all of those that have to beg for political bucks . Trump doesn’t have to beg ( or be beholden) I like the thought of that .
ps: I already have Cruz 2016 stickers on my car . Anyone else ? ( stickers peel off real easy )
Cruz already has a bit more than $100 million already. That’s more than Huckabee, Fred, Newt and Santorum EVER had, combined, and they nearly won.
China didn’t steal anything. Our government(s) at all levels ran businesses away from America and into China’s waiting arms. The various EPA’s, minimum wages, government abetted union mafia’s, laws paying “special” employees to sue employers using government paid lawyers have all contributed to that trade imbalance.
Partly correct, but China also pilfers everything.
So partly wrong.
I agree we are currently sold out, bigtime.
I agree but it would be nice if the candidates talked foreign trade vs another bill we must pass before we know what’s in it.
Help me follow your logic: political candidates are beholden to the big-ticket types, but the big-ticket types are pure as snow?
The TPA that Cruz voted for is open for anyone in the world to read. He has not voted for TPP, which is secret.
Thank you.
