Ted Cruz should be president of the upcoming Article V state amendments convention.

I've been around here for a while and have read many of your posts, so no disrespect here....but how can an Article V convention matter when the Constitution we have right now is not enforced?

Just asking.

To me it is like immigration "reform", we cant enforce our current laws/system, what is "reform" going to do?

Repealing the 16th and 17th amendments would be enough for a successful Art V CoS.

The only worthwhile sort of amendments are structural. By that I mean those that reassert forgotten federalism. It is through the re-division of power between the states and the government they created, beginning with repeal of the 17th Amendment that we can possibly witness a resurgence of freedom.

You can read the first chapter of Mark Levin's Liberty Amendments at Amazon.

I summarize them here.

You'll notice that Levin would super-federalize Washington DC far beyond anything the Framers ever remotely considered.

I would also add that under our constitution, which acts on both the people and the states, it makes as much sense to remove the states from the law making process as it would to remove the people, . . . no sense at all.
