It’s good to be here.
I’ll probably be checking out the UFC tomorrow but it won’t be until tomorrow night rather than real-time, unless I have absolutely nothing else better to do.
When this is over I’m firing up the smoker for an all nighter. Doing a bacon wrapped stuffed pork tenderloin for lunch tomorrow.
What are you stuffing in the tenderloin?
Making bread stuffing from scratch. Toasting bread right now. Adding chicken broth, onions, garlic, parmesan cheese, celery, sage etc.
WOW! To say that looks awesome is not doing it justice. Roughly how long does it take to smoke a tenderloin?
Rumor has it right before the fight Shamrock asked for double the money and was turned down, then mysteriously ended up cut.
Road Warrior Animal, seriously?
I’ll be doing mine about 12 hours at 190 degrees. Can do it shorter time at higher temp but I do mine low and slow over night while sleeping.
Ken is a born again Christian now. Hawk the Road Warrior was born again before he died. My guess that’s why Ken chose that.
Low and slow is the way to go with pork.
That makes sense. I just couldn’t figure out the connection.
Ever see that backyard video where Kimbo punched that guys eye out of its socket? So horrible.
I haven’t seen it myself. Sounds horrific to me.
HAHA! Kimbo copy catting the Brian Ebersole Hairrow lol
Shamrock had him but when he couldn’t finish you knew he was in trouble.
Burned his arms out. Rats!
Thanks all!
I’m not a 100% sure that either one of those guys should be in there.
Kimbo’s take down defense is HIGHLY suspect, and Ken at 51, still looks really good physically, but obviously he has slowed down from his earlier years.
But that being said, got to give them both credit, but especially Kimbo who tuffed out the choke, and then performed surgery on Ken’s face...ow!
I’m not sure how far Kimbo is going to be able to go with that level of takedown defense in terms of it lacking, but there is no denying his punching power.
I would not ever want to be on the end of one of his fists.
All finishes, that was nice.
I knew Ken couldn’t take a hard punch at 51. My takeaway was, even with a fully trained Kimbo, Shamrock wins that fight if it was 6 years ago.
So tomorrow’s UFC card (With the 115lb chick title on the line) is on fight pass (and various pirate websites) and starts at NOON Eastern (prelims)/3PM (main card).
I guess they care more about growing the sport in Europe than they do in promoting the women’s division with US TV audiences.
