Addons is where you check for plugins like flash and java. Click that and you'll get a page called 'addons manager.' If you select 'plugins' it will list what is installed. Presumably flash, java, and such should be there. At teh top of that list is a line that says 'check to see if your plugins are up to date.' Click that and it will check, and let you know what is outdated, and let you update it.
The question mark when you click it gives you another menu and down at the bottom of that list is 'about Firefox'. If you click that it will tell you what version and probably download an update if there is one.
While you're rummaging around with it, I'm going for a caffeinated beverage - hot - with half and half.
It has Java Platform, Shockwave for Director, and Adobe Acrobat and a couple of others I’ve never seen. Also, Wild Tangent Detector.
As for the question mark, I was confused by what it shows. If I do this stuff early enough in the day, I can usually muddle through, but I’ve already been awake for eight hours, so my thinnin’ is a little off, Baba.
(CFIDS at work. Sorry if it sounds like a litany...)
