I favor Gov Walker at this stage. Has great conservative accomplishments as governor of Wisconsin. Which other governor had the balls to fight unions like walker did? Then he survived 2 recall elections in BLUE Wisconsin. That clearly shows me he can win nationally. A republican winning statewide in Wisconsin is lot harder than winning in Texas.

However I also like Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, Paul & Trump.
All for completely different reasons. There are positive and negative aspects to all of those. Walker on the other hand has very few negatives.

Well said.

Like I said earlier. I have just eliminated Cruz because I feel I cannot trust him. When it mattered he was fine with unconstitutional legislative secrecy and abdicating congressional powers to a President he said he recognizes as a threat to us all.

Walker has his own problems, which have been cited in numerous threads (although if he is the nominee, I will vote for him). He survived one recall, not two. He should’ve run in 2012 when I called for him to be drafted to stop Zero’s ringer, Willard. His being able to win at the statewide level is no guarantee at the national level. Wisconsin hasn’t voted GOP for President since 1984.

I would go so far as to say that the state may still not vote for Walker for President if he is the nominee. They didn’t vote for Willard with Ryan on the ticket. My state didn’t vote for Gore in 2000, which many couldn’t imagine (including Gore) not happening (that being Tennessee), except for yours truly, who predicted he would not carry the state.

Most of the others you cite are no-gos. Rubio is a slimy weasel who turned into the cretin he ran against (Crist, AKA The Orange Menace), selling out his supporters before the ink on his election certificate was dry. Jindal has become highly unpopular during his tenure in LA, and that baggage will carry over (and he really isn’t “Presidential” in his presentation). Paul is nuts, period. Trump is a celebrity whom I consider non-serious. He’s had ample opportunity to aim lower and run for NY Governor (or especially, NYC Mayor), both badly in need of leadership.

Walker and Cruz are really the only two at this point, but I support Cruz simply because that when it comes to Washington, he knows where the bodies are buried. Walker lacks for that knowledge and experience, and those are two totally different animals (state vs. national).
