I still remember that season where Kirk Gibson hit that 3-2 2 outs, 9th inning homer to win the first game of the World Series.

Pfft! Try the Red Sox being down three games to none to the dreaded Yankees and then going on to be World Champions!
True story: I was driving back to Cincinnati, OH from Nashville, TN the night of that game. Just north of the city where I-24 and I-65 split there was a horrendous accident and traffic jam, and we sat on the interstate through the entire game. A guy in a pickup 2 cars in front of me had a battery powered TV, and a bunch of us watched that home run happen standing in the middle of I-24/I-65. I’ll never forget it.
