The police report says Josh’s mom, Michelle, said it wasn’t really a treatment center ... they simply sent Josh to a guy who was remodeling a building to do manual labor.

That’s what I read. I don’t see “into” in the actual police report.
The report, as it is, is disturbing enough. But, unless I missed something in the police report, it seems the gossip rags are making the story sound even worse.
