Id like to amend that title to 19 Disgusting Things About The Duggars .and Counting.
Heres why:
1) Their son Josh was a serial child abuser, yet they dont seem to even realise this salient fact. He was so young, they wailed, hed just turned 14 . he was so young etc, vomit-makingly etc. Heres the only fact that matters: Josh Duggar sexually molested FOUR of his own young sisters, one as young as 5, and a baby-sitter.
2) They didnt report him to anyone for 16 months after he first confessed. Thats not them being failed parents as they would have us believe. Thats being an accessory to covering up a crime. When they finally did tell someone in authority, it was to this man. A state trooper who did nothing about it and is now languishing in prison on child pornography charges

3) When they finally did tell someone in authority, it was to a state trooper who did nothing about it and is now languishing in prison on child pornography charges. You couldnt make that up.
4) The Duggars seem more upset that we now all know about Joshs disgraceful activities than about the activities themselves. Their doe-eyed exclamations of self-pity were utterly disingenuous.
5) They claim none of the victims knew they were being abused, which is obviously palpable nonsense given that some were awake when it happened. The reality is their parents conned them into thinking the abuse wasnt as bad as it was. Just as they have, for years, conned them into thinking their weird, twisted, religiously zealous, goody-two-shoes lifestyle is normal too.

And to you. It hurts me to see this. I never knew the Duggars before, and it is horrible how they dealt with their son’s sick behavior. At the very least, when they prayed about whether they should be on TV in a reality show with all their kids, I don’t think they listened to the answer but just wanted to be rich and famous. I don’t think Our Father would wish these girls to be made to live with their abuser like it was nothing, so that the TV audience would never know the truth. We didn’t need to know the truth. We didn’t need to know ANYTHNG about the Duggars, and now those poor girls have to endure this so publicly.
“”On the interview last night””
What did you see last night? You keep referring to “last night”...The interview was on Wednesday night with another one to be tonight... I wonder how many people posting on this thread are getting their information from (gasp) CNN and Don Lemon. I’ve flipped past his 9 pm show and all week it’s been on this topic....
Exactly!
Yup, all these supposed Christian people that could have done the right thing didn't.
And left it up to the godless Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey to finally report.
Perhaps I am fooled and only time will tell, but who is promoting sexual molestation? I am the first to call out those who parade their sin like Oprah Winfrey, Anderson Cooper, and Piers Morgan. But everything that those of us who have families of our own see in this case is a family that has done everything they can to deal with their son. He is now happily married with a successful family (so far). Once again, perhaps I am fooled, but it looks like success! Those who cannot (and will not) let this go are bordering on mental illness.
I could not disagree with you more. No one is promoting molestation, though covering it up like the Duggar parents isn’t fighting or preventing it in a known molester.
I have no idea what sins Oprah and the others have celebrated.
And you think success is The Molester Went On To Live The Good Life (and make baby girls to potentially molest)?? Nowhere in your success model is any consideration for the victims. Or for justice. Justice is a conservative virtue, which is why we feel as we do about ILLEGAL immigration. Only the statute of limitations keeps Josh Duggar from being a criminal. The victims of child molestation have problems that can last for life. Whatever they say on TV is what they have been told to say.
Think of the little boy dancer, Wade Robson (sp?). During the Michael Jackson moleststion trial, he testified FOR jackson. Said he had never molested him, and they were inseparable for years. That testimony may have even helped the jurors acquit. Now that jackson has been dead so long, Robson has admitted he lied, and Jackson abused him for years.
Victims are so hurt that they don’t know right from wrong, they can’t trust, they are lost and oversexualized and have a very hard time in life.
And happily married (one NEVER knows how good someone else’s marriage is) doesn’t mean anything. Molesters often have wives who have no idea their husbands prey on kids. I can think of several.
We cannot crow about “success” just because someone said it on TV.
What part of the legal system failed in this case?
The victims in this case have spoken publicly. Why are they not considered credible? Once again, perhaps I am wrong but I want to err on the side of love and forgiveness.
Jessa and Jill are trying to get a spin-off of 19 Kids and Counting for themselves.
They’re being interviewed tonight by Megyn on Fox News.
Ohhh,so that what’s going on.They all should shut up and go away.
Incredible rush to judgment on this thread. Nothing like internet justice.
My curiosity is, that the parents would even expose the family and kids, on a reality show, knowing what they did.
Makes me think that the lure of big money clouded their common sense.
The *Willis Family* is quite nice.
Based on the TMZers reporting,I wonder what scandal will befall them?
I listened to the interview of the girls. I feel sorry for them.
These people chose to live in the public eye, no one forced them.
They did well. I think they accomplished what they set out to do tonight, they'll get their own show.
I find it hard to have any sympathy. The *reality* of their televised lives was not real, to me, in any sense.
Reality TV, not real. I agree.
I hope there is no more show. Enough
