You have given an honest evaluation.from your point of view, and I respect that.
I agree with much you have to say....
....however I sat there last night with my very discerning husband and we both found the Duggars totally believable and transparent.
I grew up with people like the Duggars, and they are salt of the earth.
Without sin?....No!....none of us are.
But the people I knew....who remind me of the Duggars.....trusted in the Lord and tried to live clean lives.
What more can a parent do, if they conscientiously try to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, according to Biblical standards?
We in a very fallen world...... We are all broken at some level.
There are some, even on this forum, who will never forgive this family......
I pray for the Duggars.....I know they will survive....
but please keep in mind........we live in interesting times....
Today the scrutiny is on the Duggars......
Tomorrow it could be any of us.
I truly believe this sealed juvenile report was opened and shared to specifically bring this family down.....and anyone they have ever supported.....or associated with.
...including Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum or Huckabee.....
I’m not a Huckabee fan, but at leaset he didn’t throw them under the bus like Santorum.
It would appear only Christians must live a blameless life if they aspire to run for office or try to do righteous things in life.....(& they should aspire to this)
The Bruce Jenners and his ilk of Kardasians, etc can continue making their millions exposing body parts, and salacious tabloid articles.
The woman police chief who leaked their sealed juvy file should be held accountable......

Mrs Duggar last night should have simply said we find child molesting and transgender and homosexuality to be sins or undesired behavior and yes one has happened to us

I totally agree. I think they told as much of the truth as they are humanly capable of handling at this time, given that they are being dragged through the mud gleefully by people who are spouting the exact opposite of truth about Christianity. Christians strive to live moral lives, but cannot truly live as Christians unless they understand that sin is part of that life, it is unavoidable in every life, and that one must be able to admit to it and keep on going, keep on relying in faith on the promises of God that He is refining one's character, sometimes through humiliation.
I do believe this was an agenda-driven attack on them, but I also pray that they will be able to withstand it, and that none of their children will be destroyed by it. The media is trying very hard to ruin them, obviously without a care as to the feelings of the girls involved, or especially the young children.
