The anniversary of the signing of the document that established the seeds of Freedom for the individual is this June 15th. It happened in 1215 at Runnymede. All freedom loving people need to honor this August occasion for being the seminal point in the history of the World. Great article. (No linkie because I don't know how to...) It's entitled "Eight Centuries of Liberty"

Knowing your own ancestral history is very satisfying...cheers.
OTOH, it removed crimes against individuals. Crime is now a violation against the state. Victims do not prosecute crimes against themselves. They must trust, and await justice from, the state.

You do have civil law to redress individual wrongs or to recover damages.
Criminal law basically says a crime against one is a crime against all.
