Florida has a big lizard problem. Between lion fish and Burmese pythons, Florida has a lot of invasive species problems -- and the newest is massive Nile Monitor Lizards.
Nile Monitor Lizards can grow to be almost 6 feet in length and weigh 33 pounds. They're mostly found in Northern Africa, but some households take them in as pets.
The "pets" are often let loose after getting too big, so they wind up on the streets. But that's not the only problem -- they start eating things, like neighbors' cats.

Overtown?
The Florida Criminoles?............................Try Gainesville University of Florida, Go Gators!.............
It’s nicer there, warmer in winter, and a whole lot safer than Tallahassee. Their medical school is great! Closer to attractions like Disney and Orlando, St. Petersburg / Tampa Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic Beaches area is just a couple of hours away!.....................
No, I’ll never get over town..................(airplane!).................
I read a wildlife book a few years ago, title escapes me at the moment, that mentioned that large wild apes have been spotted in Florida since the 19th Century.
Six foot and smoking blunts?.................
Solution? How so pray tell?
True love knows no boundaries...
They eat cats??????
How can I get some for my backyard, garden, front flower bed, wheels on my truck and car, cats on top of my car and truck, crapping in the yard and flower beds and peeing on the car and truck rims and tires.
Where do I get some of these wonderful lizards? Inquiring minds just gotta know!
that is one nasty looking lizard
Can they be trained to eat Democrats?
I feel a SyFy movie coming on. . . .
Personally, the safest and cheapest means of control would be air rifles, either PCP's or Break Barrels in either .22 or .25 caliber..........
Kids? Hell, at six foot that sucker would take down a grown man.
It’s tough to get in out of state.
They have to be more than the stated 33 pounds.
Lake Bentonville, Bentonville Arkansas. Home of WALMART. A very small fishing lake.

33 pounds of lizard would be enough to give anyone fits, don’t you think?
Thanks for the suggestion.
