I don’t doubt that Jenner is not averse to publicity! And he has a ton of money. I have no idea what such a person would do if he were poorer and quieter.
However I see no evidence of narcissism. It seems like he was a conservative dad and far less narcissistic than his wife. His interview was full of self-critical, reluctantly accepting, talk. There is no way a person with narcissistic personality disorder could have talked about himself so honestly.
Society doesn’t owe people anything, really. I don’t subscribe to an ownership government that bestows medical care on people. We as a people should pay far less taxes and take far less services from the government. I love that charities help the needy. Not sure what you are trying to say — of course I do not think people should get free sex reassignment in jail, for example.
My concern is that the agenda of all this publicity is that we do owe such people society’s financial and other support. By extension, everyone with any kind of problem (and that includes most of us) deserve the same ... or we have battles between identity groups over who deserves what ... which is pretty much were we are right now, politically
I’m positing the slippery slope argument but I don’t think one can argue that we aren’t already a good way down the slippery slope with identity politics. The extreme publicity of Jenner’s case points to more of the same.
Nice triple negative in that first sentence...
Did you ever wonder why 3 marriages failed?
I personally knew Bruce Jenner's first wife Christy Crownover and she was the sole support of their marriage, because it was all about him winning the decathlon. I also met Bruce Jenner when he was trying to sell/promote Mini Gyms. He came to our house. He was totally stuck on himself.
Scroll to the bottom and see pictures and an article where he says to have mirrors as it makes it more fun. He likes looking at himself.
