If you search the Loudoun County Public Library website for Ann's book, "!Adios, America!" you come up with NOTHING. No combination of those words will bring you to her book. Search by author brings you to her book, UNDER THE TITLE "OFFENSIVE"
Curious, yes?
Not always.
AS was posted above, the OCLC record was started from the original title of the book. Ann changed the name (or her editor did) after the cataloging had been sent out for use.
I don’t know what bookselling function
this site performs, but when you plug
in the ISBN for Adios, America, you get this page ...

Yeah, that all does make sense. The worst we’re looking at here is that the person tasked with updating to the new title decided not to, figuring it could be explained away as an “oversight.”
But nothing for us to get our noses bent out of shape over.
I did a serach on the UPC and found it used..to “describe” several “products”
including this one:

After all, their first names start with the same letter.
My small town library in Texas has it listed correctly.
Good info. But I was only asking because the original poster declined to include any kind of a dateline to their article. We shouldn’t have to search for that kind of thing. Now that I know, I have included it in the ‘keywords’ section in the header.
I have the clearance to change things in our catalog, so, if it was wrong, I’d of fixed it.
Even if it was a Liberal book, it should be right in the catalog.
