Dana White is probably pissed because a Jones/Cormier rematch is less compelling than Jones/Rumble. However, LHW is such a weak division that if Jones is out for long enough, Rumble can get a rematch with DC. The only other really good fighter at LHW other than Jones, DC, and Rumble is Gustafsson and he just lost brutally to Johnson.
Things in the middle weight division are interesting as to gets the title shot that is.
Yeah that’s a bummer for me. Hopefully we will eventually see Jones/Rumble and a Jones/Gus rematch. Still waiting for JDS/Overroid, which was canceled twice.
As for the middle weight title shot, I think it should be Rockhold. There is also Souza but let’s give the poor Brazilians a break from CW, lol. I think either could give Weidman a good fight.
