Unfortunately, yes. Ever since the show returned from cancelation the characters have devolved. Peter routinely abuses his daughter Meg to absurd lengths for laughs.
After the return the show got a lot more politicized as well. The last straw for me was showing a Nazi soldier wearing a McCain-Palin button.
Family Guy is a great deal of pretty crude humor as it is. I am not certain of calling it the lowest, but it’s low, couldn’t call it as good as The Simpsons.
