In the Big Bang Theory episode The Zarnecki Incursion, Sheldons World of Warcraft account is hacked and his in-game character is robbed of all its amassed treasure and weaponry. The local police and FBI both laugh off his demands to track down the virtual thief, but in the real world there are prosecutors going after this new form of criminal.
Fusion has the story of a pair of online gamers-turned-bandits who teamed up to steal and resell virtual goods in the game Diablo III. The twosome profited to the tune of more than $8,000 in actual money.
To commit their crimes, they would trick other Diablo users into downloading software that would allow them to remotely access the other users computers.
Then one of the thieves would take over a victims character, dropping all of its loot in an in-game spot for his partner-in-crime to come in and grab up.

Another good one was where Penny gets addicted to WOW.

Ive never been much of a gamer myself, but there was a few months many years ago when I was totally addicted to the city building game Sim City 2,000. Id come home from work and play while I was starting dinner and the next thing I knew it was 1:00 AM. One Friday night I came home from work and started playing and my husband came in the kitchen where I had my computer desk in the corner and I asked him I thought you said you were going to bed? and he said, I did. That was 8 hours ago. Do you realize that its 7:00 AM now? I might have even had some Cheetos stuck in my hair. I walked away and never played again.
Several years ago, my husband’s game account was hacked, with all of his game items sold, the gold stolen, and the characters deleted. He got everything back, but it took a few days.
I happened to log in while the hacking was taking place, and put in a ticket right away. My husband was able to talk to someone using my account, and got the process started to restore his account.
I do play World of Warcraft, and have done so for almost 10 years. I know people, I have friends there. Playing is about more than the game.
The way I figure it, it is cheap entertainment. I do not watch TV. I watch youtube and read a lot. I spent more to go to see Mad Max with my son ($25) than it costs for 1 month of gaming ($15). If you count the water and box of candy I bought, that one movie cost more than 2 months of gaming.
I read somewhere about the WoW gold farms and other role playing games, where China has people earning in game money and items that are sold by the head of the “farm” for real world money.
And the officials like it because it generates jobs and gets guys off the streets.
There was an incident (I believe) in Japan several years ago. A gamer loaned a weapon to a fellow player who had trouble advancing past a particular monster. The friend sold the weapon after defeating the monster, rather than returning it.
The owner called the police who said there was no actual theft since the weapon didn’t exist so he went to the miscreant’s home and stabbed him through the chest with a real knife.
I could never get the hang of Asteroids
I’ve never had Asteroids but I’ve heard it’s painful...
Not as a fashionista.....just a guy who likes women.....the biggest mistake onTV this year? Penny’s Hair(cut). I’ll take the long hair with Cheetos any day over her current hair helmet.
Ps I haven’t played video games since Marioland in the 80s
I get that most guys like long hair on women. I used to wear my hair long below shoulder length. But my natural strawberry blonde hair is very thick and not curly but not completely straight either straight in some areas and wavy in others but not wavy in a good way, and back when I wore it that long, it would take me a good 45 minutes or more of blow drying and styling with several different size brushes just to get it to look nice and not as if I just got out of bed.
As I got older and much busier in life, I found I just didnt have nor did I want to spend that much time every morning doing my hair so I now wear it very short not a butch cut, but a stylish short but easy maintenance cut.
I also think that while not all, but many women, as they get older just dont look good with very long hair. A lot of them end up looking like aging hippies IMO.
I was wrongfully arrested on Grand Theft Auto. I want compensation!!!
(Ok maybe it wasn’t a wrongful arrest, but I lost all my weapons)
I didn’t bother with broadcast or TV much when I could just use Netflix and Amazon for a pretty low price. I just never got quite into the newer games. The bejeweled was the one that works for me, play something similar to Tetris and earn up points just by playing, slower progress than if I paid, but good way for half an hour to chill after my son and daughter are out.
Yeah ....
...no
Women make the fatal mistake of asking other women how they should dress or cut their hair. If women are interested in dating other women, that would probably be a good plan.
You are right about some older women with long hair looking like aging hippies. But Kaley is 29. I worked in pharmaceuticals (production)for 30 years. didnt know many salespeople but those women who were either had shortish hair OR put their hair UP.
Not disagreeing so much as telling you my opinion of what guys look at.
Good luck.
