Right now for my light or 'beach' reading, I have James Dashner's The Scorch Trials, the second in The Maze Runner series; it is written for young adults, but is a fun read; also, Untold Stories of World War II is awesome, tells the heroic stories of vicious combat; I'm sure you've heard of Senator Daniel Inouye? He single-handedly took out 3 Wehrmacht pill boxes during fighting in Italy in 1943, two of them after he had his right arm blown off, the last after he had also been shot in the leg! Won the Medal of Honor for those heroics! I can almost forgive him his later liberalism after I read that. Also just got finished with The Good Soldier, autobiography of a Viennese soldier who fought in the Grossdeutschland Division of the Wehrmacht; very interesting read. I love my Kindle Fire! What is everyone else reading?

There are hundreds with so-called untold stories, but that is not the title.

I'm sure you've heard of Senator Daniel Inouye?

Sure have! He was one of the Senators who blocked an investigation of the Bobby Baker affair, a major scandal during the Johnson administration. Nine years later, with a Republican in the White House, he pursued a probe of the Watergate scandal with gusto.

A girl I knew who made campaign buttons and sold them at Republican gatherings got a lot of sales with a button that read, "Inouye: Remember Bobby Baker!"
