Good thing the US is a republic then. Oh, wait. We used to be. Now it’s more socialist than anything.

Bump. They’ll be coming out of the woodwork on this one I suspect.

We need more cameras for accountability. Cops shouldn’t have to take crap off anybody, but they shouldn’t give crap to anyone in an unwarranted situation.

I'm scratching my head a bit on this one. It seems that this “Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights” is simply a set of rules for internal police investigations. Such a set of agreed-upon rules is not unusual in a union workplace.

I don't see where this would have any impact on a civil or criminal trial of the officer. So IMHO it's a stretch to call it a “Bill of Rights”.

And taking down the 2nd amendment means depending on the cops, go figure.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to that off-duty Chicago cop who beat the crap out of a tiny little barmaid because she said he was too drunk to have another drink?

Another one sided investigative journalist report a push for the feds to take over the police depts.
Obama and clan rub hands.

Older cops are equally troubled by this shift in how police are being trained to view Americans—as things, not people. Daly had a veteran police officer join him to review the video footage of 43-year-old Eric Garner crying out and struggling to breathe as cops held him in a chokehold.

It really sucks when you have to rely on straw men and lies to prove your point.

If the constitution and the first ten amendments(assuming both black and women suffrage) are followed to the T, then no citizens should feel disenfranchised unless they be criminals. And no cops should feel hamstrung.

The other amendments, should be considered either redundant(see above paragraph) or dangerous departures from the founders intent.

'Course they occasionally throw a Darren Wilson or an officer who has a Bible in his patrol car to the wolves as a sacrificial lamb but, other than that, as Union employees, they are pretty much untouchable.

Ever thought about that, Al Sharpton? Jesse Jackson? Loretta Lynch? The young black men you kvetch about are being targeted and incarcerated by Union employees.

Union employees who are represented by attorneys who charge two, three, four hundred dollars an hour. How much are public defenders paid?

They both were obviously resisting and were therefore presenting threats to the police. What is more important than anything else in the world is that cops go home safely each night. /bootlicker

When one group of {people, animals, bugs} have different authority and also different rules for conduct than others, corruption almost invariably follows. http://aeon.co/magazine/society/game-theorys-cure-for-corruption-make-us-all-cops/

How does one defend themselves against an unlawful assault from police? It's the ultimate Catch-22.

To hell with cop cams. I'm getting a citizen cam to wear. My house and property is already covered. I might as well join the storage files.
