One of my sisters friends was a dancing cigarette girl doing live commercials for quite a few of the shows.
She didn't think much of Sid Caesar. According to her they use to do dress rehearsals in the nude.
Said Jackie Gleason was a sweet heart.

My cousin's hand got stuck in one, and instead of the release bar, she hit reverse. How he wound up with his hand intact was a miracle!
Remember bluing to make the white clothes look whiter?

One year, a local station on UHF carried “Un- Conventional” programming- for those who didn’t want to watch the conventions that election year. Your Show of Shows was featured, and my parents introduced me to it. My favorites were “The Haircuts” and “The Clock”! What a treasure, and fun to see my parents crack up!

Did anyone else see the Coneheads remake of the State Farm late-night phone call commercial?

Remember how the big topic in Monday morning homeroom was the previous Saturday’s SNL?

It's a new commercial. I saw it the other night.
Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin redo the commercial where some guy's wife finds him on the phone, thinks he's talking to another woman, takes the phone and asks "what are you wearing..."
