When I was in Iraq it occurred to me they will let westerners drill a hole in the ground to get oil but you’d be hard-pressed to find a latrine at an IA forward base, unless, of course, it was dug by a westerner.

I have a Brit in-law who used to work for an oil company in a mideast, Islamic country. He said as a supervisor he was forced to hire a number of the locals according to an agreement with the oil company and the local bigwigs.

But the only people who did any work were the Europeans and the (Asian) Indians. The local hired help just showed up to pick up their guaranteed paychecks and then disappear. Which might partly explain why so little is produced by so many...so many Muslims that is.
