He played 4 downs then the other QB played 4 downs, repeat, interrupt for 4 quarters etc... with same low pressure footballs didnt they ...... ? I believe that each team provides their own footballs for use by their players. Link

Yes, each team supplies their own game balls - at least 12. the NFL supplies kicking balls. The home team supplies a pump and needle for the refs to adjust as needed before the game.
